Greetings everyone! I have the famous ABS light on all the time problem. my car is a 2.0 litre manual and the day after purchasing the car wouldnt start. Did my homework and tracked it down to the OVP relay fuse. However once replaced the car ran perfectly (idle good and easy starting) but the ABS light came on . I have replaced the OVP relay in case it was faulty - no difference. Checked impedences of speed sensors - 2 front and back diff all within tolerance Popped open the control unit to look at the relays and only found one relays but 2 slots Should the control unit have 1 or 2 relays in it? Help much appreciated. Thanks Robin |

Greetings again! Can someone with a similar car to mine (1990 190e) pop open their control unit and tell me how many relays they have in there? I suspect there should be 2 and someone in the past has taken one out to get rid of the abs light. Thanks guys Cheers Robin |

Yeah theres ment to be two realays, ones silver and ones black. The ABS pumps are the same on all 190s so be easy to get a replacment relay. |

Thanks for that Marv and Paulduncan! Bought a second hand silver relay for £5 - put it in and out went the light - cant quite believe my luck . Just shows you cant trust what people or mechanics have done to the car in the past.Cheers Robin |
