hello ![]() i am removing the entire k-jet / ezl systems from the car. i started removing some of the redundant looms in the bay and have come accross instances where some wires need to go but some need to stay.... example... on the section of loom going to the fuel pump relay there is a wire to the k-jet ecu and a wire to the diagnostic port - both of these things have been removed. the remaining wires to the fuel pump relay are still valid - power, ignition, etc. will the fuel pump relay work with those wires missing, even though the thing they went to isnt there anymore? is stripping the loom/s viable to remove what I dont want but retain what I do - fuel pump and wiring, ovp, abs, etc...? |

honest answer is no idea turn the key and see if it still clicks/primes the pump ? if your removing all the injection system can you not rewire all new realys for what you want them to do ? hows the project going anyway |

i know i'll find out when I plug the battery in and turn it on.....just wondered what lied ahead! i wanted to utilise as much factory wiring as possible....i hate wiring and was working on the basis that if it ain broke, dont fix it! this way i get to use the factory wires/fuses/relay/rev limiter......I'll find out soon enough. its just that i've removed so much wiring - you kind of wonder how the hell the engine will ever run again without it all!!! project is ok, just finishing the inlet manifold and waiting on some mega-jolt parts to show up.......ideally want to go to the german gtg at the end of may so the clock is ticking. will update my thread in the next few days... |
