Anyone care to share? One of the rear arches on my 2.0 needs attention. Didn't find a local bodyshop recommendation when I asked last week, so I guess I'll just have to chance it with someone plucked from Yellow Pages/Google/etc. But it definitely would be useful to know what the cost range might be. Here's a pic of the offending area: ![]() (I did a search but found no examples of quoting costs - just sources of repair panels) |

Depends on what's underneath that blistered paint. It could have been repaired before, and is most likely rusty from the inside of the lip outwards I'd say. Might be most economical/best practice to cut it out and fit a repair panel. My guess for the job would be somewhere in the low £££s, £300/400ish perhaps. Will |

Like will said, its hard to guess on body work as you don'nt know what you might find one you start taking it back to the bare metal. |

just looks like surface rust in that pic, doesnt seem to have rusted through. had my back arches done a couple of years ago with a local garage, but mine were so bad the plastic trim around the arch was the only thing holding it together. it fell off one day while i was driving home from work and i picked it up from the side of the road the next day on my way into work. Anyway, cost me 150 quid a side. |

Thanks all - it'd be good if I could get the repair done for £150ish (paint extra) or £400 (with paint). I suppose I could get busy and remove some of the loose stuff and maybe save a tenner? Will - chrome arches! How very dare you!
