What socket size for the nut that tighten the axle shaft

Im pretty sure they are 30mm, 32mm perhaps? And bi-hex too.

It is a 30mm 12pt socket you require, mine is 3/4" drive but most are 1/2", it depends on your breaker bar. Standard depth is fine - no need for a double depth or anything fancy. Some people find it easier to undo by removing the centre cap (alloys) or wheel trim and chocking the wheel and going through the centre of the wheel with the car on the ground rather than when its up on axle stands.
