Hi all,
I'm nearly finished my '84 190E 2.0's restoration and soon i'll be able to post some pics showing the painful 6 month's work. I'm up against a new problem - the auto box is shifting up really harsh. You have to actually lift off the accelerator for it to change from 3rd. to 4th. I've read the post about vacuum problems and the pics posted show the vacuum lines on a carb version, can anyone tell me where to find the same lines on the injected version. Also, does the line that is suspect only run to the trans? Or does it pass through several electrically operated valves on the way? Any help would be most welcome.
Thanks.

I'm only really here for the Kitchens

there is a harshness adjust unit, its vacuum controlled and stuck on the side of the autobox somewhere. It will have vacuum lines going to it and from what I gather it is hidden under a flap of some sort.

I am afraid thats all I know as it was a leak elsewhere in the vacuum line causing mine to have problems so I stopped looking.

Thanks, kentronix. I'll have to get it up on ramps and crawl under.
