Hi, both my rear doors are squeaking and creaking when opened, i think they need replacing as a squirt of grease wont sufice they clunk, any idea how much they cost and is it a DIY job, i fear if i remove the door cards then they wont got back on properly or the plugs will break.

Thanks

it might not be the hinges making the noise.................the door strap mechanism inside the door is a ball bearing and spring system, this dries out and can cause squeaky and doors to be hard to open..............if you take the door card off...............remove the pin keeping the strap to the door post then remove the 2 10mm bolts keeping the mechanism in place, you can remove ,clean and lubricate the door strap mechanism ;)
