cabin/pollen filters; wanted to find out if our vehicles ever had that option

Just wanted to find out was cabin/pollen filters every an option on our vehicles or is that only for really newer cars???

Not sure about that but I think that this is not an option for our cars.
I am thinking of making some sort of attachment to install a pollen filter as I don't like to smell the exhaust gas of other cars when driving around town.

can it be retro fitted in by anychance??? has anyone looked into this??

only reason is i get a lot of fumes entering the cabin, and it makes gag at moments of heavy traffic.

It is an option as retro fit,possibley still available to buy???
They just clip over the heater intake vent,not a great upgrade if i am honest,fitted a acouple of sets then they dissapeared from the work list.
Not as useful and effeicent as todays systems.
Not really worth it for our cars.
I will do some digging and see if i can find the part number.
