Hi There, I have posted some questions about the adhesive for the new underbonnet pad for my 2.6 automatic. Merc has the adhesive at £17 + Vat!!!!!!!!!!! During discussions it would appear that some members have an Aluminium Protector. A Merc Part apparently. I have spoken to Merc and they don't list one for my car. However if anyone has a specific part number for it could I add it to my bonnet pad. If not anyone with a 16 Valver could give me their full VIN I can give this to Mercedes and they could then try to find a part number from that car. Cheers, |

I used 'timebond' by evo stick for mine. Check the specs yourself first as I am not 100% sure its designed for this kind of thing but its been on for at least a year and had no problems. Its about £8 a can I think from most DIY places. I am pretty sure the metal part comes with the bonnet pad itself. Mine did. |
