I was driving home when the throttle went much lighter than normal and the car does not seem to slow down as quick when I take my foot off the throttle. Also when I put it in Park it revs at 1300 instread of 900. It's still driveable but I wonder if a spring has come off somewhere. Does anyone have any ideas?

Had the exact same problem, throttle return spring went snap.If that is what it is, really awkward position to replace, I went under the car poked it through and my mate manged to oik it into place. It was the spring behind the air box. I went to the local dealership gave me a diagram and ordered the spring for a couple of quid. |

Yes it's a pretty common fault, you might be lucky and it might still be hanging on by one end Mine was, otherwise I would have probably not found the fault. |
