Diff 124 Ambulans

Stop by my local junkjard and discoverd a 124 260e 1988 ambulans.
so i got intressted on its diff but the car had no wheels on it and it was down in the mud so i could not reed
the back plate on it.

after some serching i think its a asd diff 3,67

I wonder what kind of diffrens it wood do to my 2.5 16v whith 3.07 asd

and how difficult it wood be of installing it.

It could very well be an ASD one as it's an ambulance vehicle. A 3.67 ratio should improve acceleration everywhere.

edit: The difference between a 3.07 & 3.67 ratio is about 17% reduction.

Then i will take a closer look at that diff

how dose the 2.5 16v rear axels fit with the 124 diff.

is it a bolt on or dose some modification needed.

You will need to swap the cover plate as the 124 has 2 mounting points and 201 has 4 on the plate.

so thats it, swap cover plats and it fits bolt on.

no other axels, and no mods on the driveshaft.
