Right my 2.3 is leaking a bit of oil its coming from the left hand side of the engine,Its ownly when i come back from a drive does it start to leak a few drips on to my garage floor,but if the car has been sitting up for a while there is no leak at all. Does anyone have a idea were it mite be leaking from.

Sounds like it only leaks when warm and something expands with the heat. Had similiar problem with a car in work. Customer always topping up coolant but we could fib no leak. Finally found a tiny pin hole in rad that let a small jet of coolant out once it expanded when warm. |

It could be a small leak from anywhere as the under body engine tray (if you have one) collects the oil and it leaks off the tray, just a thought |

No i dont have a tray. But this morning after last nights drive there was 5 little drips of oil on my garage floor. |

When you say the LH side of the engine, do you mean as you sit in the car or as you stand looking at it from the front? My guess will be from the exhaust side as that's the way that the engine is tilted. Worth checking the SLS radial pump as the seals often leak and it will run down along the top of the head and make a mess. Without seeing the car though, or any pics, it's a little tricky to pin down though! Will |

If your standing in front of the engine mate. Ill have to get a better look tomorrow there is so much gunk and crap on the engine were the leak mite be coming from its hard to make out whats what. Edited by Security2U, Mon May 17, 2010 9:04 pm.
