Hi there, i just searched for water leak topics i dindnīt find some similar to mine..

The leak comes from the water pump or somewere under it,
the strange thing to me is that it just leaks sometimes when parked, dispise now its appening more often.

but somedays everything is clean, other days there is a pool under the car...
anyone can link this to a problem?

the car is a 2.5 16

Thanks in advance, Ricardo

might not be the pump, check botom of the rad to, most common for leaks cause the side plates corrode on the rad or the cores rot

Could be the water pump seal about to go. When engine is running, the pump creates suction, so no leak. When engine is stopped and hot, slight pressure builds up and this could be sufficient to cause a leak if the pump seal is about to go.

Hope it helps is solving the problem.

makes perfect sense, water pressure get built by heat, then leaks in a weak spot.. the rad is quite new, and the drain plug is ok so ill check it out starting on the Wpump seals.

thanks a lot guys,
cheers, Ricardo
