Heater Leaking?; Sticky liquid leaking down the undercarpet vent

My 2.5 has been off the road for a couple of years. After a session to sort out the front brakes with the car jacked up since Christmas I have just noticed that the rear nearside carpet is wet with a sticky oily liquid which seems to have come down the under carpet duct. Nothing on the drivers side.
I have checked the front end of the duct which was dry but showed signs of something which had run down from up behind the heater controls.
What is the likely cause of this - heater or air con related and has anyone had similar problems. The antifreeze is Bluecol but the leak is yellow in colour
Regards
Brian

Sounds like the heater matrix or the pipes to it have corroded causing the leak.
