Here are (hopefully) some pics of my track toy. It was a 1.6 gti phase 2 miami blue ltd edition (only 1000 made). It now has a 1600cc cup engine which was designated for a team being sponsored by Hiflowheads in the 205 scholorship. The deal fell through and I ended up with 1 of the 3 blocks made. The head is off a 1.6 405 (bigger valves) which causes a nightmare for fueling!!! Also got the usual, fse boost valve (which helps the head fuel better) a Magnex/Exhausts uk hybrid exhaust system and a single cone green cotton air filter. All in all it produces 140bhp at the flywheel and 115bhp at the wheels which is around 10-12bhp more than a standard 1.9gti, add to that weight saving diet (weighs less than 800kgs) and you have a very quick b-road attacker!!! I'm not lying when I tell you that it can catch imprezas round bends!!!! Not so good in a straight line though! Which leads me on to plans for straight line speed. I want to finish her as a 1.6 first, then either a 2.0 8v turbo or a 3.0 v6 conversion depending on which mood i'm in when i've got the cash in my hand....hmmm, boost or torque??? Anyways I've owned her for about 7 years now, shes nearly finished, just need to paint inside (bear metal everywhere) Wax oil the chassis, fit perspex windows and most expensive of all a gearbox rebuild with an Lsd and group A clutch, which funnily enough comes to around what I paid for my 190 just before christmas! Sorry for going on, I love talking about my pug!
Hope you like???

I like it.
I had a 205 1.6 in Miami blue (G205 ELY) that was written off in Brighton a good few years ago.
I then got another one a Red 1.6 which I blew the core plugs out and sized the engine.
A 1.9 was put in and a magnex exhaust and filter. I belive you when you say you can catch Imprezas ;)

My old one:

I'm afraid I'm failing to see the resemblance? :-/

Seriously though, that car is very, very cool. B)

Remember - horsepower sells cars, but torque wins races.

Benzsc1 ; I got into peugeot 205s first and foremost n ya really have to drive one to appriciate the chuckability of the thing! Had a spel with Pulsars too but the pug was miles more fun to drive. Dont get me wrong Pulsars are ballistic (untill they break) but ya cannot explore the limit cos they'll kill ya... n I promise you that!!!
Mi16s are so run of the mill these days so fancy doing somthing different. Today its a 3.0 v6 all the way!!! (jus so ya no).

Rich27 ; Ya no what i'm sayin^^^??? ooo Cherry Red, do ya not think they just look so purposeful when ya see em on the road these days???

Conrad ; Lmao, lovley pooch is it urs??? lol Thanks pal its took plenty of tears to get this far! Fooookin french cars man...EVERYTHING breaks!!!

hitenb ; Nice1, luckily since the syncromesh ruined swift driving I've now forgot just how much fun it is to drive cos I tel you now i'd be sellin anything to get it done...In fact....

Sounds like fun (although I'll admit that I'm not quite so keen on some of the outside mods!)

Didn't they use to fit Mi-16 engines into these? A friend had on in a 16V BX a few years ago running Jenvey ITBs and a custom Emerald ECU + a load of other work, was apparantly pretty quick so I imagine in a 205 it'd be a flier!

Good luck with the rest of the mods. Never driven a 205 GTI, but I imagine that they are great fun B)

Won't when you realise the angle of the engine makes it hard to get properly lubricated and it goes "Pop" ;)

They are such great cars, I keep seeing a nice red one near here, always wanted a 1.9 in Laser green

Nice car dude even if I agree with Will on some of the mods, but each to there own. I can just appreciate the car knowing what it is! I only had a 1.1 but it did 60mph in 2nd gear handled like it was on rails and when it did slide it was very predictable, heaps of fun!

So ended up going to eccose Peugeot for my body bits with a T16 in mind, hence the 'pram handle rear wing' n yes the centre exit is T16 esque jus got carried away with the bore lol!!! If I could of got that wing below then I would of lol
