my mondy resprayed

as the title says, i sprayed my mondeo with my cheap paint in a dusty damp garage, and i am very very pleased with it...........in the photos of it painted,it hasnt been G3'd or polished yet :D

well richie, my mate did most of the spraying,he let me spray a wing and 2 doors (he's teaching me how to spray) and i was to nervous to do the big panels like roof and bonnet, but we both did the prep work and masking on it :)

one thing we couldnt believe ,was how thin the original paint had got.................we only showed it the 500 DA disc and it was down to bare metal :rolleyes:

thanks for the comments guys......................stu ,yes i am very pleased.................theres still 1 or 2 thigns to do .................black bits along the bottom of the bumpers,polished and badges to re-fit

this is where we sprayed, pictures are rubbish, was a crappy mobile phone but you get the idea........................wasnt the perfect place to spray a car

its make sense water & metal=rust metal& oil= preservation.lol


but you done a good job mate, did you give it all the wrist action etc ;)

because the activator in 2 pack is toxic to the enviroment :no:

Damp is better than dry, helps keep the dust down.

I see. So i should still be able to buy celly then? Im going to be painting the moggy soon and i preffer celly on older cars like that :)

thanks stempies...................i am ,as i've said because of where i sprayed it (if matt saw he'd have a heart attack....lol)


as far as i am aware stu, 2pk and celly will still be available for the public, it just the law now says if you do so many cars a week you have to used water based paint :rolleyes:

TBH I was very suprised to see the pics after I read your first post but that is very tidy now and the job looks a cracker considering the circumstances my LT trcuk cab was painted in the same conditions!!

nice one mate, was away when i got your text and this is the first chance ive had to find the thread

Bloody hell

chalk and cheese

buy now that paint should be rock hard too B)

1200/1500 it down to remove the orange peel and g3 it back
will come up like glass if it isnt already
