Hi everyone left my roof open on tilt today while i was at work to let the air in. When i got back in the car i opened the sunroof right up. The problem was when i got home and tried to close the roof, it closed but not totally flat with the rest of the car and the interior panel went up on one side. Also the roof wont tilt up or down now, its trying but seems like its getting stuck. Theres no clicking or anything so im ruling out the cable i just think its out of line somehow and was just wondering if anyone has had the same or similar problem. any help would be great! |

The body coloured outer panel is slightly adjustable. Take the inner trim panel off and you can see 4(I think) bolts that hold the panel on to the mechanism. Loosen them (dont remove). Open and close a few times to let the panel centre itself. Nip them up and give it a proper test. You may be able to adjust it slightly by giving it a gentle bash without doing all of the above. Then replace the headlining trim. If you havent done the trim before you should open the roof about 2/3 open. Pull the front of he trim downwards until you hear the clips pop out, I think there are 3 or 4. then slide the trim panel forward and lift it UP and out of the car through the roof opening. NOT into the car. Its not as hard as it sounds. |

right ive done that but i now know what the problem is. There are 2 black plastic clips on the sunroof mech that slide onto 2 metal fins on the head lining part which make the interior part go up when you put the sunroof up. I cant for the life of me get those metal fins into the plastic clips. theres no way of seeing them when your putting it in to line them up! any help cheers |
