As you may have seen from my various frustrated posts in the 190 room, I recently fitted a replacement afm on my car, and despite setting the mixture about right when I turn the key it simply starts up for a split second then conks out. Been through a long list of possible faults with Andy with no success, but one thing it is doing that I so far haven't been able to sort is a weird buzzing coming from the idle valve when the key is turned all the way without starting. It buzzes for about 3 seconds each time, with each instance separated by about a second. I was told this could possibly be causing the problem, and a connector on the wrong was could be causing it. However, all the connectors are on absolutely fine, so not sure how I can solve that. Has anyone had this issue before? What sort of issues did it cause and how was it sorted? |

Got the wrong end of the stick from Andy, he meant if it was buzzing constantly, the line wasn't brillaint so I thought he's said that it shouldn't be buzzing at all. Sorry chaps! Thanks for your replies anyway. |
