fuel tank

Hi. Can anyone tell me why that when the fuel tank is full the fuel gauge falls very slowly till it gets to half full and then it drops twice as fast towards reserve. Is my fuel gauge falty?

Longest build time in history?
There could be an element of affect from the wrong part number sender unit being fitted.

I had this problem where the fuel sender unit from a larger tank (the 70ltr from the 16vs and 2.6s) was fitted to my 2.0Ltr car with 55 tank.

Never got to the bottom of it, just learnt how to drive around it. lol
