Why do my 2.6's oil pressure differ, The garage queen sits at 3 and thats were she stays, while the new one sits at 2 and only hits 3 at 1200rpm? |

After reading around here about the oil pressure, I wouldn't worry that much....now. Mine when hot from one point something (depending how hot outside) it shoots to 3 at 1300 revs. |

Toff, mine sat at about 1.5 -2bar at idle hot and 3bar above 1500-2000rpm or so. Never did sit at 3bar at idle even cold. |

My 2litre lives at 3. The 2.6 often drops to 1 at idle and moves up under load. Stu |

Thanks for the replies gents, TBH i was just a little concerned as im used to my 2.6 sitting on 3, Always! The new one sits on 2 on tick over, but hits 3 at 1200rpm, so nice to read your replies and see that its normal for oil pressure gauges to vary. Edited by Toff190, Wed Jun 9, 2010 9:14 pm.
