First start of the day, and the engine fires up and settles after a short period (5-10 seconds) Drive off, no problems. As I approach my first junction, and start to slow (2.0 Automatic transmission, with ABS brakes), under my 'brake' foot I can feel a vibration like the disc's are dirty/rusty and she struggles to come to a stop with a engine rev variation similar to that you'd get in a manual gearbox when braking before dipping the clutch properly. Now this vibration is NOT the ABS 'check' vibration that we're all familiar with. Now, if I can put her into neutral/park and switch off, then restart straight away, she runs fine from that moment....almost if I'm having to 'reboot' the system..... Is it brakes, ie, ABS problem? My reasoning for this supposition is, that on one occasion I did the restart process, the orange ABS light on the dashboard came on and stayed on for about 15 seconds then extinguished even though the vehicle 'rebooted' fine! Help any one? As always, all information gratefully received. Mike Edited by Mike wantza Merc, Sun Jun 20, 2010 7:26 pm.

couold be your ABS ecu Mike, this sits where the battery is located, get the car plugged on and they should know exactly what the fault code is.. or check the fuse/relay on top of the ABS pump Edited by rhysmangatmotorsport, Sun Jun 20, 2010 7:40 pm.
