Is it possible to get a full sized(ie: rectangular like the driver's mirror instead of square) passenger side mirror with the electric adjustment? failing that is it possible to fit the electric mechanism into a manual mirror? I currently have a German manual driver's mirror on my passenger side, I bought a Lucus electric mirror off ebay, the picture showed a rectangular mirror but it's the square one. |

yup, just get a driver side mirror (our passenger side) frmo a US / EU 190e, their driver wing mirrors are the same as ours, so youl have 2 of the same size on each side ![]() try 190rev.net (bugger should learn to ready all post before replying...) no you cant get electric driver mirrors , so youl have to settle for a manual mirror if you buy an imported driver mirror Edited by CrysAk, Wed Jun 23, 2010 12:39 pm.

Actually two passenger mirrors might be the way to go, they are nearly as wide as the mirrors of most cars on the road but are taller, having an Euro driver's mirror on my passenger side I've found I can barely see anything in it from the driver's seat, might be better to put the electric mirror back on & then put another overseas electric on my driver's side. |

It seems that the late style 124s & 201s shared the same mirrors, the rectangular manual mirror currently on my passenger side is actually a 124 part number. |

Done some looking around, W126s had two equal sized mirrors, the casing of which looks like the older style drivers mirror for the 190, the three mounting screws seem to match up too, I might give these a try. |

Late 124 drivers mirror is what is wanted('94 on)(LHD if wanted for thepassenger side of our cars) If you want twin electric mirrors then you will need a drivers RHD and the following............ You will need the centre console switch and either make or cut the old loom from the donor car.Make sure you get the wiring connector where it connects to the mirror wiring. Be prepared for some head scratching if making the loom from scratch.(using switched lives and earths from some weird positions on the switch) Use the mirror backing from the 190 so they shape matches. The non symmetry bugs me, also that square mirror has a limited view. |

German engineers spent plenty of time and money getting that right, it's a design solution, not a problem The mirror nearest the kerb is deeper, so that you can park easily. The mirror on the driver's side is wider, so you can overtake safely. It really is that simple. If you think the square mirror has a limited view, you're probably either far too short or tall for the car. Honestly, it cracks me up that people persist in rectifying this 'flaw' on our cars
