Dizzy problems

Hi All,

I've recently bought a second hand distributor with the screw type cap, after mine with the hook type cap kept popping off and killing rotor arms. Just changed the dizzy over but there are some differences.

the new one doesn't have the vacuum pipe/valve part, and also doesn't have the earth wire attached which returns to the ignition module. My question is can i make it compatible or is it never going to work.

The hook type cap just has the most flimsy clips and i think is a bad design, this is the reason i wanted to change to the screw type as it is more secure and cannot pop off. it's gone through 3 rotor arms already.

Any help much appreciated.

Matt
