I know tiger seal or sikaflex are the big boys but I need to very quickly get some sealant to affix some trim, I need to be able to pick it up local. Any ideas ? I dont mind if I have to redo it in a few days but it absolutely must not let go and drop my from on the M1 Best places for me are homebase, halfords or b&q. B&q has sikaflex but apparently no stock. What else will do ? Any inferior brands that will do for a while until I mail order some proper stuff ? I have been advised not to use the tape based products, anyone got any views ? |

What are you sticking? My numberplate was stuck on using "Gripfill" * I`m sure other bits of my 300td are stuck on, filled or made from it. ![]() They also do Pinkgrip. When its dry you can sand it and paint it , but its a sod to get off paintwork if you mess it up. (as I found out with my brother in laws Nissan micras door trim. Have some petrol on a rag or thinners on standby B&Q also do some extirior grab adheisive, that may do the job, Whatever you get some masking tape so you can tape the trim into position while the glue sets. *Masking tape on car body and back of the plate and gripfill then used to attach it Edited by Rich27, Fri Jul 16, 2010 1:34 pm.

I went for the gripfill stuff, seems just about right and doesnt dry instantly so I get a bit of fettling time. Its only the small end bits of the ducktail so its not actually holding much weight. |

Keep a rag with some solvent ready so you can clean any overspill off. And a massive THANKS KENNY I went online to B&Q`s website and found adhesives and suchlike, also I saw an advert for tent starter packs >>> This <<< £20 off so I went to B&Q to get it, Got there, one left, the bag that holds it all was ripped, I bought it with another reduction for £50

all part of my plan rich, I intended to steer you towards buying the reduced tent with the damaged box that I had heard about. In fact the ducktail lie was just invented to get you to buy the tent. My work here is done. |
