drumming noise

i have gained a drumming noise from the rear af my 1.8 and its not the sub in my boot,
the drumming starts at about 55mph up to 70mph when the accelerator but no sound when i take foot of.
i do have a diff whine is it the diff getting worse ?

Could be your 'donut' on the prop ;) Do you get a vibration under heavy acceleration??
May even be something simple like a balance weight has come off the rear wheel or loose wheel nuts!! :)

Thats sounds like you prop dog nut then get under the back of the car and take a look it should be smooth crack free rubber in a circular disc formation if its out of shape then its definitely the culprit........

Possibly made worse with an out of balance propshaft which you wouldn't normally notice with a good donut!!
