What back box have I bought?

I think I already know the answer to this one... Not so long ago I bought a back box for a Merc 190 2.3 off of eBay; I'd not owned my valver long and I have a history of cars with exhaust problems so I bought this in anticipation. It arrived and I just put it in the shed, stupidly without even looking at it.

6 months later and my predicted exhaust problems have occurred so I've dug this out from the shed to take a look.

It only has one tailpipe, as opposed to the two which my valver has. Am I right in thinking that I've bought a back box for an 8v car, rather than 16? It's a Bosal, marked as 175-297

Cheers.
