Hi gentleman (and women), im new here, but am a member on another 190 forum. i have seen links to this forum occasionally and decided to join after lurking around for awhile. Many clean cars here and seems like a good sense of humor as well, always fun :)

oh yeah i own a 190 of course, its nothing too crazy but a little different than the usual.

1993 190e 2.6 Sportline LE, most people know it as the trim model with the red/black Recaros and inner door skins. also the faux carbon fiber stuff on the inside

Welcome aboard! Don't worry, we accept all kinds on here!

Nice to see a bit of the rat look on a 190, cool bonnet (hood) treatment. And are they Corvette rims? Mental... in a good way.

And I would kill for a sportline LE or Avantgarde interior!

thank you for the welcome! Yes they are corvette wheels, 17x9.5.
The sportline interior is pretty cool, i like it alot. i was told they only made 700 of them with it so thats kind of neat. the hood i did myself, i do paint and body for a living so i wanted to kind of show my company name in a interesting way. thanks again!

Wow, those rims look right at home on there, great fit in the wheelarches. Is it on standard sportline suspension, or has it had "work"?

My two sportlines have been the only cars I've owned that I've kept stock, as they're pretty rare in the UK. Most of the UK ones have standard interiors as the sport interiors were hugely expensive even in cloth trim, the leather ones cost an absolute fortune! The US and German markets were very lucky with their leather interiors!

Love the advertising on the bonnet, your car's one of the coolest company vehicles I've seen in a long time! B)

the car does have the sportline stuff, but the springs have been replaced with eibach ones wich i then cut one coil off of. i want to go lower so i will be cutting more off and later getting a better setup when money/time allow it. i rolled and pulled all four fenders to get the wheels to fit and am also running 215/45-17s for some stretch to fit them in the fenders better. also i just like the stretched look. im currently making a mold for a new front lip i designed, heres the prototype:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

About 2 hours north of where I
thought then.

Have you ever done Tucson ?,

I have never seen so many miles
and miles of Aeroplanes with
nowhere to go.

It's unusual, but very nice all the same. :D

In Phoenix, you wont have much need for the cold start valve.

I went to Phoenix for the US F1, 1999 I think, anyway, they say it only rains there three days a year, and we we got the lot that weekend. Senna in the V12 Honda and Alesi in the Tyrrell, both of them aces in the wet, some race. :D

you guys are sure friendly here! i didnt get that kind of welcome on the other 190 forum i use haha.

Gorilla: I actually spent a summer in Tucson once with some friends that live there, i enjoyed it. The music scene was good there and i thought it had a little more flair than Phoenix does. i plan to go back down there for a few days this winter. I am originally from Flagstaff AZ wich is about 2 hours north of Phx, in the mountains.

Micheal: yes thats true haha, it gets pretty dang hot here. i wired my Aux/ AC fans on a switch in my center console just to keep the motor cool in traffic, we hit 110 degrees plus pretty often in the summer here. But it does rain sometimes, usually when you least expect it or when you are at the racetrack. i do try to watch F1 when i can, but it seems to be on at 4 in the morning usually, so i cant keep up with it as much as i would like too :(

thanks again everyone for looking, i will do an update soon with pictures. i painted one wheel of my extra set tonight to see if i like the colors i chose for them, and i should be mounting the prototype front lip i made this week as well. also making some carbon fiber (fibre?) pieces for the interior too

thanks! well i have 5 more of these wheels, so i think im going to paint another one a little different and then choose what style i like and do the rest. i also want to put just a little red in there, maybe red/black corvette centercaps would do the trick, or small red company logos. heres an idea i had before that i might try on a wheel as well:

(that is a photochop my brother did for me) the black i use is mercedes 199 - black w/ blue pearl, and the cream is the same as the script on my hood. i love the 199 black i use it all the time. thanks for your input!

thanks! GM PCD is 5x4.5 vs Mercedes 5x112 so no they dont line up. i use adapters to get them to fit, and with vette wheels being a +56 ET spacers would have been needed anyway to get them to be outside of the suspension. so it all works out pretty well.

recent picture, still in love with the new front lip i made

Chris knows that in person it looks alot worse haha. was good meeting you man, hope i can check your car out sometime. going to Irwindale in march and long beach april 8th but i know thats REALLY far south from you.

@Rick
i really really dislike molded in parts, i dunno why but its just not my thing. i scrape the lip on alot of stuff so if it was molded it would just crack the molded in area pretty fast im sure. i made a thread about how i made it on 190rev. its pretty boring
http://190rev.net/forums/showthread.php?t=37295&highlight=lips

pretty stoked i got 190 of the month for Dec, makes me feel bad i havnt done anything to the car in awhile. just fixed the stupid fan bearing thingy when it broke.
