Nice big fun bus....

You can convert it so you can take your 190 in the back of it ^o)

you can also fir an HX40 on that engine and smoke a few chaps on the motorway. :D :D :D

I wish you a happy happy restoration.

1 good thing with those vans is that you don't always need axle stands and jacks to work underneeth :D

Nice. There are a few knocking around where i live. Both pretty ropey looking but used regularly.
My fave is the matt army green one B)

Nice, I love the old 5/6 series vans, tough old buses. A mate of mine has one as a camper/support vehicle for his autograss racer. Those vans are still being made in more or less their original form, as the Vario.

Something about the old Merc vans, not the best to drive, but a good, indestructible feel about them. When I started my job, I was given one of the last 310D vans, which had the sprinter type engine, but the horrible old dog-leg box. 300,000+ miles they were good for. I drive a new shape Sprinter now, lovely to drive, but feels less substantial somehow...

Look forward to progress on the funbus! Beats an overpriced VW splitty anyday! :D

Cheers for the comments Guys :) .The bus is a lot rougher in the flesh with plenty of fibre glass and filler just slapped on over rotten metal. It was local, scrap value cheap and i have been after one for a while so lots of cutting and welding ahead of me now.I was thinking two tone brown would work for the bus but thats a long way down the line.I will post some pics when i get a bit more done. ;)
