I accidentally stumbled across a 190d close by to my house. Popped round to see it and is was immaculate, Silver with a blue interior which has to be said looks factory fresh. 115k on the clock, 2 previous owners, the last from 1991 > and a full service history. The car has not been messed around with, has the original blue pin stripe down the sides and looks like the only optional extra specced are the rear headrestraints and electric window pack - no front armrest though Will pickup towards the end of the week and I'll get some pictures up for you. Can't wait Des Edited by 5erge, Sun Nov 14, 2010 11:31 pm.

Still no pics yet I'm afraid. The weather has been rank and the car filthy. Still I have run the car on some SVO and have WVO to go in next, I have also change the engine mounts for genuine MB ones, which made a vast difference, I'm also getting approx 49MPG on the long motorway run I do each week, so quite pleased with that. Motorway journeys are nice and quiet when doing 65/70 but anything more (when punching it to overtake officer) and you can hear the 5 cylinders working away as the revs build, anything above 3000rpm without the radio on and you know you are doing that speed, the car is still smooth though. Am I expecting too much or is this typical from a 20 year old diesel car? Other than that I'm loving the drive, just need to change the front speakers for a pair that don't fart and pop and stick on a nice pair of (ebay) alloys. Oh, and my electric ariel is all over the show, raises up a bit then extends horizontally, good reception though anyhow that needs replacing Des |
