Hello all, new to the forums, just saying Hi, this is my second 190E, little nicer than the 2.0 auto before. Am buying CrysAk's 2.3-16 on thursday. Currently own W124 E250 Diesel, had a 300D in the past and a couple of MX-5's (very manly ones of course). This forum has already been an invaluable source of information. Thanks all.

Hi and welcome.

Stu
The 300D I had was an '89 12V version, the E250 Diesel is the 20V "Multivalve", powerwise they are both equally slow (I think they're rate at about the same hp). However the 6 years younger E250 is rotting from the inside out, whether they started skimping on the seam sealer or paint I don't know but it's just rotting from different unusual places. However it has done 220,000 miles now! Both very quiet relaxing cars, even quite liked the sounds from the 300D inline 6. Hope this is useful.

Hello and welcome :)

I'm sure you will agree its a fantastic car to say it has been a cut and shut. You would never notice the welds across the floor and roof :) It may flex a bit more than normal but you should be OK as long as you don't have more than 2 people in the car at a time :)
