monoblock alloys; alloys

i have a 190 merc and would like to fit some 17 monoblock original alloys. can anyone tell me what the offset should be or any useful information i need to tell if the alloys are the right ones for my car as i currently have some monoblock alloys but i think they sit to proud of the car and are prob from a newwer car can any one help ????

to fit they should be ET 35 give or take 2 or 3mm and i managed to get 215 45 17 tyres on one of my old 190s which was lowered about 30mm all round with out any probs but the wheels i had were not original mono blocks, im currently running evo 1s 16" by 8" with 225 45 16 tyres for me personally i prefer 16" wheels on a 190 i feel the rides not to harsh with these and the 225 45 tyres, but its up to the individual

As Iggy said, you are aiming for an Offset of around ET35, and the rims should be 17x7, 17x7.5 or at a push 17x8.

215/40/17 is the tyre of choice for a 190 on 17's.

Pretty much all the 1" mono's I have seen for sale have been ET35 which is ideal for the 190.
