Hey all,

Not going to lie here I'm a vw man at heart and have a 1987 golf cl small window as a project atm but I've owned a w123 and fell in love with merc and how want to leave the dub hatchback scene and get me a merc 190d

I've photoshopped my ideas for the 190 project ...

Welcome to the forum mate.
Very nice first post I would say, but

What about getting you 190 first ??? :P :P :P

lmao lmao lmao

Seriously now, there are a few lowering options for your merc.
1. 40mm lowering kit
2. 50mm kit (not many though. I had this one from APEX)
3. 60/40 kit
4. Chop existing spings (not recomended)

Fine ride adjustment using spring pads (you get them form the dealership)

Then the world is your limit if you are creative or you have deep pockets.

Have a look at the suspension section here to get some ideas.

and 'njoy your 190...

If you want to go seriously low but still have a bearable ride and by that I mean go over most dirty humps at 0-10mph without anything touching unless you take a real mountain hump from the wrong angle then I'd go for the H&R 60/40 Cup Kit it's a very good quality kit but not the most expensive either I think you might be able to pick them up around £300 odd I'm not sure tbh. I'm not a H&R representative btw I just speak from my very low 190D experience :)

16'' Wheels 7J width I can't remember the ET the design is known as Toliman they are MB wheels.

They were wearing 225/45/16 tyres with no rubbing.

The springs were not cut btw the whole car was rolling on a H&R 60/40 Cup Kit.

The drop on the W123 looks ace B)

Them wheel arches are mahoosive in comparison to the 190 you could get some big wheels under there.

Same setup upfront I believe. I don't know about the rear I think it is different as the W123's were before they started using the multi-link system which is what makes our cars so famous for handling so well B)
