Hi,

looking online for prices of CV joints or cv joint kit as I am considering doing them at some point.
i looked at gsf and ECP but no luck. can some one help?
Does anybody know if the Driveshaft sold by GSF is complete with CV joints?

I have replaced the diff so about 60% of noise has gone. the other 40% is that I am trying to track down, and I think noise comes from CVs. I have not tried yet to regrease them but that could be a temporary fix only if they are worn.
I also try to track down a cyclic sort of noise that comes on left turns.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Richy, In that case I ll get a quote form MB as well. I have to go to them for front prop shaft coupling and and a few other things so worth asking for their prices.

if you've changed the diff and only 60% of the noise has gone, i doubt very much its the driveshafts, i'd be looking at the wheel bearings and prop bearings ;)

It isnt, they're sit-down money.

Bearings are possible but they make quite a noticable/identifiable sound.

I replaced both wheel bearings with SKF ones about 18 months ago so I have them out of the list.
and I noticed a noticeable reduction in noise when I did them

I think I located the noise problem today.
The N/S disc appears to be warped and binds against the calliper so that explains a cyclic noise I hear. Also the O/S caliper is a bit sticky so I think it's probably time to change them.

As for the CV joints I think that a regrease will extend their life as there is no sign of play in the CV.
