Hello all

My name is Dave and I'm looking to buy my first 190e! I've owned various 80's/90's coupes in the past (sciroccos, corrados, supras) and really fancy moving to an early 90's 190e for a bit more refinement as i get older! I've always liked the simple lines of the merc and due to a fairly restricted budget, it's reliability is a real plus too. I've posted on the wanted section and a few ones in the for sale section. I always work on my cars myself so I'm not shy of a bit of tinkering/fixing, but would prefer something that is pretty tip top and doesn't require anything major. replacing a 3L turbocharged supra engine last year has veered me towards something that hopefully isn't going to blow up every 1000 miles.

anyhow, thought I'd say hi. I used loads of car forums before and they've always been invaluble in helping me buy and maintain what I consider to be classic cars.

I'm based in Bristol by the way.

That's what I was hoping! the 1980's supra was an absolute swine! had to disclocate your wrists to remove the oil filter and took an hour to replace a spark plug!
