Andys some pics i took today when i went shopping at Tescos with the girlfriend. I could not be bothered about going in so had a quick look round the e30 instead while in the carpark and decided to take some pics with my phone. As you can see its not bad but it needs sorting soon. She has full history and very low miles and is worth doing the work on. Would it b e a good idea to start stripping her down ie takeing the kit off and front wings. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i had a e30 320i two door before any of my 190s and the bmw was great for speed until it rained then most of the time i was sideways on most islands and i found the 190 is a much better car handling and comfort and more reliable |

Oh yes i am sure there will be more rust under the SE kit ,Andy did say he was going to sort it for me some time this year. Its just 1 of them ,i will never sell so i am prepared to spend a few quid to bring her up to par again, useing genuine bmw parts only. Rear arches need sorting but Andy rekons is a easy job as he has done far worse on 190s. Anyway jobs there if he wants it,maybe he wont so as not to offend any 190 owners on here

She definitely has a case of BMW tin worm but not the worst I've seen Ryan and I'm sure Andy will have her looking 100% again.

Been quoted £400 for 2 front wings from Bmw this morning which i am going to have to bend over for as i need them for my restoration. How much are genuine 190 wings for interest sake

I think I paid around £170 each for some genuine wings when i refurbed my 2.6. The 16 valve wings are a fair bit dearer so i'm told. Edited by stwat, Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:05 pm.

Quick update i got a great deal on a pair of e30 wings,i had to go to Yorkshire for them that was the only problem as i was supposed to be at Andys today as i was getting new inpact strips fitted front and rear and my bonnet insulation . The parts are paid for but i just had to get the wings as they where a good deal. They are both genuine Bmw and never been used and i got them for £350. ![]()

Yeah i know but hey such is life, happy with the deal anyway. Downside the 190 could have been sporting brand new black scuff free bumper strips and a full bonnet insultion now,oh and nearly new tyres .I have all that to sort out and a exhaust to fetch from Steve which i paid for months ago .The joys of motoring hey. |
