I did the ASD fault check today and the light flashed 8 times, 8 is 'brake light switch or magnet thingy. Now how do I tell which is at fault and does anyone know the part numbers? How hard are they to replace?

I had the same code. Mine turned out to be dry joints in the ASD relay. Twenty mins with a soldering iron fixed the problem.

Right so there is more to code 8 than just the magnetic switch, break light switch or the solenoid valve?
Also I have no idea what these things are and where they are located....

Just had a look at my paper work and the break light switch was replaced so I guess I can rule that out.

Are they the magnetic switches?

Any idea what/where the solenoid valve is?
