Should be a good reliable car. Small Jap twin cams have always been good performers as well, I loved both my little 1.3 Micras.

Is it a 3 door? They always looked nice in a junior Type R kind of way.

Im serious, its outside.

Its a 3 door 16 valve single cam from what I gather. I wanted something cheap to convert to gas and it falls into the cheap tax band which for a commuter is perfect.

Great little car! B)
It should be a reliable as a Swiss watch
I've had 4 Toyota Corolla over the years and they all never failed an MOT or missed a beat
You just can't beat little Jap hatches
But what's gonna happen to Das Barge? :o

Mark

P.S I will send you a PM soon about a trip down to see you

Yes to be honest I thought you were serious and outside is definitely the best place for it !!!!

My current daily is a 1litre Micra......... about 3 bhp but 46+ mpg often into the 50's so I cant complain as I do tend to push her a bit.

The only things it doesnt like are:

Speeds over 40mph
Wind
Being overtaken by anything bigger due to the buffeting effect.
Weight in the boot, the middle or the front.

God I miss the 2.6.

Stu.

I'm only really here for the Kitchens

does the job mate, doesnt float my boat but then neither did my old micra and I enjoyed the cheap motoring and lack of car lust based stress for several years.

Turns out furrows are dearer than diesel so I should have kept the barge :)

I'm enjoying the car though, new wheels and suspension went on today.

:)

Although my 190 is my first genuine 'foreign' car, I had previously owned a Honda powered Triumph Acclaim 1300cc, and subsequently a Honda powered Rover 416GTi 1600cc kicking out 130bhp.

Both were so reliable it was boring! It was the British Leyland bodyshells/components that let them both down...

I'd have a Honda again without a second thought!

:D

maybe not.....found this on the lpg forum
"The Honda's do have very soft valve seats which are well known for wearing on LPG. You can fit a valve lube system which if you believe the makers will stop this happening (Flashlube did a graph for valve wear on this model of car on their web site)".

Yep, got a valve saver kit already. All my LPG cars have had them fitted. Although I use 'Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant' rather than flashlube.

Cheers for the heads up though :)
