| Have any suggestions on how much heat wrap is required for the 16v Manifold?; Anybody have any experience with preferred length and girth? Ohh err! | |

Longest build time in history?

Just clicked on an Ad link from this site to Magma Wrap. I've been meaning to buy some for ages and their seem as good as any. Any idea how much is required to do a nice tidy job? I would think 2" wide 50ft maybe? It's quite compact so maybe only 30ft? Dunno! Just wondered if anyone had done it. Cheers guys... Mart

I did my m103 manifold. It took double what I was expecting. I can find out how much I used from my ebay history if you like ? Although obviously the 16v and m103 manifolds are totally different beasts. I used stainless cable tie things to hold it on rather than wire, much better. Then I sprayed mine black with silicone spray. |

I believe the heat soak caused by the wrap caused the welds of the Inconel manifold to go brittle and heat crack.
