As some of you know I recently put Sarah's Clio onto gas.....halved the weekly fuel bill! So ordered another kit and did the Civic too.

Here are some pics. Please be aware that they were taken as work was in progress so there are grubby bits which have since been cleaned :)

Prepped, cleaned and drilled the boot floor to mount the tank:

Applied anti-corrosive primer and stonechip to prevent from abrasions and in turn corrosion as once the tank is fitted mopping up water becomes difficult.

Same with the Tank:

Painted the tank and fitted the multivalve, then mounted it to the car:

Mounted the filler inside the filler flap :)

Made a bracket to hold the reducer and mounted it to the car:

Drilled the inlet manifold for the gas nozzles:

Made some 'J' Bolts and mounted the LPG ECU:

Ran the pipework and wiring harness under the car:

Tank end - Posted Image

Made some brackets along the way - Posted Image

Copper pipe meets flexible tube - note foam pad above to protect the body.

Loom and LPG hose head over the subframe into engine bay towards reducer/vaporizer:

Start the rebuild:

All back together:

Leak check:

6kg is around 11-12Ltrs. I only used that to leak check the system before going 'live' on a forcourt. People get twitchy if it leaks and the nearest station was 15 miles away so handy :D

I remeber watching wheeler dealers when they did the, was it a Disco?
It didn't look an easy job and was very involved, especially drilling out the manifold, no thanks.
After all the hard work you then have to test for leaks.
That looks a fantastic job you've done and very neat.
All in a days work for you I guess, bet the drink went down well. B)

Cheers, It was very hard work - its only the second multipoint sequential kit I have ever fitted so still learning. Fitting it and making it work is childsplay.....making it neat is what takes the time!! That pint was the first of many that day.
