Looks nice Mike, are you up for doing any 4x4-ing or is this just to climb a few kerbs?

Like the choice of colour too, good luck with it.

Well, I'm afraid two wheels on the kerb is about as far off road as she'll get for a while....... like most Freelanders I think.

But come winter at least I will be able to get to work ;)

They dont' do badly off road at all, I've heard good things about them from someone who normally drives a 110 across all sorts of terrain.

At least now you don't have to worry about creeping over speed bumps like I have to in the 190E! :D

Mostly hearsay and cobblers, Matt, if you read it properly ..... And what vehicle manufacturer can be held responsible for a faulty batch of tyres?? : feckknows

Just like 190's....if you know what you're looking out for (and I do) then they hold no fear. :)

However, I do agree with the K series 1.8 being most definately the one to avoid.

I know the history and design criteria of the K series, and it was never going to do this vehicle justice as it was not designed for Land Rover products!

But fortunately mine isn't a K series. :D

What car doesnt have a list of common faults these days, testing is carried out on the customers rather than before release it seems and with more accessible media more people get to hear about it.
