Ok ladies and gentlemen, I have been in conversation with Elisa at Mosselman Turbo Systems and I would like to bring to your attention, that Mosselman Turbo Systems are currently thinking about doing a limited run of the older turbo kits again. They are at the moment asking to see just what kind of SERIOUS interest there would be, to ascertain as to whether it is viable.
The kits would be put together using the latest components and you can guarantee that the kits will be of high quality (I can personally vouch for the quality of the original kits when they were new)

So, below is a message from Elisa at Mosselman Turbo Systems giving details on how to show genuine interest.

P.S. I will be pinning this thread in the 'Engine' section.

Hi 190 owners! It is Mosselman Turbo Systems!

In the last years we got regularly messages asking for some of the successful MOSSELMAN systems that we no longer produce. We could like to celebrate once more Mosselman old times. We have set a form in our website to examine the real request of the classical Mosselman kits and to select few systems for an eventual limited production.

So, if you are interested, click here to have the chance to own a legendary Mosselman kit.

Yeah because, I don't know if you remember but I had a brand new Mosselman 8v kit a few years back.
And there were a few 16v ones fitted over here. I know of two still.
Steering boxes won't cause an issue at all.

A turbo kit of quality will never be cheap. Not like an EBay kit for a jap car anyway.

That said for €4000 it would be better to buy the slide throttle kit from Thorsten.

Slide throttle bodies are basically as the name suggests. Instead of the usual paddle or butterfly type plate, you will have a slide/guillotine type slide.

Agreed.
These kits were not cheap back in the 80's. You pay for good engineering and the fact that they were and will never intended to be mass produced, the price reflects that. As said, unlike an off the shelf Jap kit that is made in quantity of the 1000's.

It still surprises me still to this day how people expect to have a full turbo conversion for peanuts. That will never happen.

Everything is comparative, although in my post I was basically saying its alot of money but I wasnt saying that it was overpriced for what it is. Its just spending 4 - 5000 euro (which will be the same in pounds no doubt) plus at least a grand or so to fit, you would have to have a pretty special 190 (or love of the 190) to justify spending the cash.

it's a fair price i guess given the quality, now if there is interest from the 190 community (not only UK) then that's another question

Iv filled in the form saying I would love to buy one for both my mercs, one day I might have some spare cash, beats the £70 to fill up the nitrous bottles that only last so long (great fun though).
