Winter will soon be here so along with all the other checks, cleaning the water drain holes is very important. http://www.126-sclass.com/media/kunena/attachments/62/waterdrains.pdf Edited by stwat, Wed Nov 21, 2012 8:42 pm.

Hi there, 4 drains in sunroof, 1 in each corner, the two up front you can see with the roof open, they drain out under the car just between the wheel arches and front doors , the two to the rear drain out of the air vents between the back doors and the rear screen If you take off the vent the seal around the duct might also need replacing - both easy to do and worth doing if not in great shape Check the rear windscreen seal too and the boot lock seal, I the boot lock seal is shot the you will have drips coming into the boot when you open the boot lid I hope this is of some help. And the gutters, Stu, don't forget them. And check all bonfires for sleeping hedgehogs. By the way, you're a better man than me if you find the sunroof drain holes. I give up every time. I reckon they're an urban myth. |

Hi all, Thanks Stu for posting this; it's very useful! I threaded an old bicycle brake cable up from the external C-pillar tubes and it came out nearly clean on each side ... just some 'clean' grease which I would like to think means that it went all the way along the tubes and poked the sunroof sliding mechanism! Now, the entry to the front drain holes can be seen with the sunroof open, so you can ascertain quickly if they're blocked at the top or not. But is it possible to see the entry rear sunroof drain holes without removing the headlining, with the naked eye or an inspection camera? Page 6 what is the "Units Compartment" referenced? Lastly, do Diavia air-con units have any drainage locations that I should be looking at? Thanks, ConorD |

Apols for dragging up an old sticky, but is there a guide available on cleaning the drainage gutters/drain holes at the front (under the bonnet) as well as the rear. Unfortunately the link above no longer works. Thanks in advance. |

I have a roll of that plastic strimmer line which works well for checking/clearing drain holes as long as you make sure the cut end is not sharp. D |
