Driving car today, loud bang and no driver. can select ever gear but there was a loud noise from rear and then a sound like a like a bag of nuts. RAC came out and recovered car. he said right drive shaft turning but left isn't. He thought either Diff or drive shaft. what do you guys think diff or shaft ?? cars is a 1993 2.0 d 5 speed Manual 166K Cheers Chris |

it happened to me as a few years back in my case it was the drive shaft not to hard to replace but a bit of a pain doing it off car ramps, if one drive shaft is still turning the to me it cant be the diff but i could be wrong |

+1 on the drive shaft. Get underneath and wiggle it about, it should be clear if its snapped. |

The doughnut went on my 3.6 when I did my very first wheelspin !!! These doughnuts are made an inferior rubber similar to flour and jam . Jeremy |
