I took some photos for the Agreed Value on the classic insurance this afternoon! Plus some arty farty ones too and I thought I'd share them on here! I'm really getting found of this W124 I've done 1100 trouble-free miles over the past 13 days ( The ignition Barrel on the 190D as gone sticky I've already bought the new Barrel but haven't got around to fitting yet ) So I've been smokin around in the 124 I'm really impressed with it's lovely M102 2.3 donkey It's so much smoother and quieter than my 2.0 Auto 190E every was ( Can't believe it's basically the same engine ) After the 190D it feels like a 6 pot It pulls like a train ( Mines no CAT fitted ) so I guess it's 136 bhp,but even though it's much bigger and heavier than my petrol 190E was it seems much much quicker and more responsive The Autobox ratios seem much better choosen in the 124 or is it just me? Mid range even in E mode it really picks it's feet up Last week I went to work in it 5 times so 10 cold startups....I got 470 miles out of the 70L tank so the mpg worked out at 33 Okay that was taking nice and easy but I'm very impressed when I think that it's an old engine design ( My mate had a W124 E220 that I had several goes in which was 150 bhp ) and mine doesn't feel much slower in everday drivingThe leather seats can be a bit cold first thing in the morning But they soon warmup and the interior is just sooooo Lush![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
