hi all, so most of you know my 190 went a few months ago and a hell rot red bmw took its place, until recently i came across a good deal for a 1993 toyota celica gt4. with a few quid and the bmw i did a part exchange for this car. Never had a decent jap car and this is alot of fun, think I may keep it for a while now. Will take more pics as things progress as am doing a couple of extra bits over time. Has a good lot of upgrades from the standard model, and the guy has done well in installing them. -1993 toyota celica st185 widebody gt4 -2.0 16v dohc turbo -carlos sainzs bonnet and bumper bar - wrc replica mirrors - TRD front strut top mounts - 18" team dynamic black wheels - kuhmo tyres all round - 2.5" stainless exhaust with 3" downpipe - helix organic clutch - battery relocated to boot to allow straight air intake - rev 3 igniter and rev3 map sensor - 540cc st205 gt4 injectors - st205 ct20b turbo - st205 rev3 ecu - frount mounted intercooler - large alloy radiaitor - steel head gasket - whiteline anti roll bars - polly bushed - kyb shocks all round with eibach springs - 320mm audi tt discs with ferodo ds2000 pads and braided lines - boost gauge and intake air temperature gauge. She is very quick and can do standing starts brilliantly as 4wd. Im unsure of exact figures but 0-60 is about 6 seconds had her at 140mph on track with 3k revs left to play with shes running 1 bar of boost so about 270hp 50/50 split on the 4wd. Things i am doing consitst of, - baileys dump valve - oil catch tank - rear strut brace - new gauges, air to fuel ratio, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp and boost. - will get mapped soon to find exact power, then i will be buying a emmerald k6 ecu and taking her to watton to finalise the install and get her mapped again with 3 changable maps depending on driving situation. I think i will be the first to use a k6 on a gt4 so will be interesting to see what happens as im a complete newbie with turbocharged engines, ecu's etc etc....!!!!! |
