Hi everyone, I need to remove the engine and box from my w124 300td. Upon consulting the Haynes manual the first paragraph on engine removal (methods) states that 'on all models the engine and transmission are removed as an assembly out from above the vehicle' However the next paragrapgh states ' 1. remove the transmission as described in chapter 7' My question is, is it possible to remove the engine and box in one lump or is gear box removal nescessary beforehand? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows the answer

Easier to take engine and box out together. Hope you have a good engine hoist. |
