Hi, Before I consign my lovely 190 to the scrapyard after 16 years of trouble free ownership can someone suggest a solution to a mis fire that I experience whe the engine is warm / hot. The symptons are a mis fire at low revs particularly when the brake is depressed, power steering is on full lock and or in reverse. Once she is moving then no misfire at all, this is only at low revs and almost tickover This started a few months ago as an intermittent fault and since then the distributor cap, leads, plugs, coil have all been changed to no avail. Someone must have had something very similar so what am I missing? She is a great car with many more miles left on her so I want to save her!! Thanks to all in advance. John |

Possibly, there could be a 'dry joint' in it which would possibly open when warm and if you put load on it with using more I think 'wattage'. worth checking.

Behind the battery. but to spot the 'Dry joints' you will probably need a magnifying glass. Kentronix has a good 'Pinned' post, I think at the top of the Lecky section. Well worth reading.

Hi I was convinced that the rotor arm had been replaced but upon checking I found it to be used, though it looked perfectly ok I replaced it with a new one and so far so good, 105 miles without a problem so it's looking better! Happy!! John |

Yes dead easy to change and cost a fiver. Take yours with you to the motor factor if you can so that you get the correct one. J |
