Hello all My radiator is starting to go - any advice on where to get a replacement? It's for my 2.0 diesel (no aircon, manual box). GSF doesn't supply them. Euro Car Parts is 'getting back to me' - I won't hold my breath. Mercedes dealer can source them from Germany - £270 plus VAT. There are a few suppliers on ebay - anyone used one? Or have a better suggestion? I'll be pouring some Forte in to keep me chugging in the meantime. |

Probably depends on where it's leaking, but I had a W123 300D one repaired years ago, it lasted well and was about half the price of a replacement. Might be worth a ring round a few places. |

Thanks Flint. I may see if a cheap repair is poss on the old one, but I need a replacement because I can't be without the car for long. Euro Car Parts came good. Sourcing me a Hella radiator for £147 inc VAT, delivered to my door. I could probably get one cheaper via Ebay, but I've had some junk radiators in the past that either don't fit or don't last. I recall an Ordonez for a Citroen was absolute s***. I'm loading the car up in August and pointing it at Italy, so I don't want no trouble! |

I asked about adding a discount code and the guy told me I'd have to buy it through the website, and not from him. I'd phoned this guy up yesterday and he came back 24 hours later after sourcing the rad - it's not a stock item. "Lots of hoops to jump through to make that happen" were his words. And I was in a rush - busy busy at work - so £147 notes go down. You don't win 'em all. If the rad's decent, and gives me no grief fitting, I'll be happy at that price. Phil - you got a bargain. £110 fitted is cheap for anything, let alone a quality bit of German metal |

Just for reference, I believe Hella has taken over Behr, I received my Behr stickered radiator in a Hella box. It's aluminium with plastic end tanks. It was £164 from advanced radiators for my 2.3-16 manual (no aircon). Has been fine for 1 year so far. They're nice and easy to fit, as you don't have an oil cooler, I think you can do the whole thing with a screwdriver! All the best. |
