Hi, Recently had starting problems from cold, I have to turn over 4 5 times with foot slightly on the pedal till warm then fine. checked ovp fuse, fuel pump primes etc.. been reading about the cold start valve and vacuum pipes so before I find time to check them out I would appreciate if anyone could point me in the right direction of the vacuum pipes which could mess about the starting system, car is a 1986 2.3 16v thanks in advance

what is the first 9 digits of your VIN number (e.g mine is WDB201024 for the 2.0 190e) - then I can upload diagrams for all the vacuum idle pipes

There seems to be 2 diagrams for the idle vacuum - not sure how they relate - note one of the diagrams has greyed out numbers - meaning those parts aren't applicable (apparently). Hope these help...

and here is the air flow meter - part 59 is rubber and can crack causing issues in the same ways as split/cracked vacuum pipes.
You can also have starting problems if the thin vacuum pipe that runs from the ignition to a vacuum pipe under the air flow meter gets knocked out of its rubber connector pipe (at least this is the case on the 2.0 190e)
