Simple answer is no!

The stud layout is very different as are the tails that connect to the pipes. The material is difficult to work (Inconel) so unless you own a 2.3-16 I would leave well alone. Use your old exhaust as a pattern for the connections and get a good machine shop to make you one from stainless. The secret is to get all the pipes from each cylinder to be the same length to the first silencer or cat. Normally 4 into 2 into 1.

So instead could i use the mid and rear sections of the 2.3's exhaust and source a 2.0 manifold and amalgamate the three together or would i have an issue with that as well ?

Thank you

There would be no benefit or improvement in performance. To improve the power on a 2.0 significantly you need to improve the flow through the engine. This is not cheap!!

Start by fitting efi then get the head flowed (the cylinderhead shop) a more aggresive cam (with solid followers with shims, not hydraulic) then the manifold and then the exhaust system made up by powerflow.

To be honest this may gain you an extra 20bhp which will be well under what a 2.3/2.5-16 develops as standard. Most of this will be gained from the efi so if you really want to throw money at it go for a fully mappable electronic fuel/ignition system.
