Part of things

My 190 is out on the road and is booked for an MOT tomorrow. Been driving it for a few days with no issues.

Before my car was taken off the road I added £5 worth of diesel and last week I added 4-5L of veg. Bringing the total of fuel to 7-8L which would allow me to do 65-70 miles. (The fuel guage showed more than 1/2.)

Being a wednesday, I decided to take my wife out for a movie (Orange wednesday). Surprisingly, she wanted to take the 190 saying that it is cleaner than the 206 (Ive been using the 206 for the past 3 months).

So we got on to the motorway and the trip meter reading was 50 miles. I thought I can do another 20 miles and decided not to fill up at the service station on the A13.

Few miles after passing the station the car stalled and I knew that it has run out of fuel. (Trip meter reading was 57miles). So I decided not to call the RAC and to walk 2 miles up to Asda.

Within 50 minutes the car had 5L for fuel and we were on the move again. But my wife didnot want to head to london in the same car. So we turned back.

Just before the service station car stalled , but I managed to start and take it to the fuel station. Filled it up with another 10L of dino.

The car didn't drive very well after that, but we managed to come very close to our lane and it stalled again. Wife walked home and I just knew what I should do.

Swapped the inlet and return lines from the tank and it started.. Was too tired to take it for a spin but it drove up the hill ( To my drive). I also kept the engine running for 10 minutes and it ran very well.

Should have swapped the two lines when it first stalled but I was quite sure it had run out of diesel. Tank must be very dirty

Tomorrow I have a 30 mile journey to my MOT station.
